March 31, 2021 Toronto – Potentia Renewables Inc. (Potentia) is pleased to announce that it has reached agreements with Enercon for the supply of Enercon’s E-160 EP5 wind turbines for its three Jenner, Alberta wind projects totaling 305 MW. Under the agreements, Enercon shall supply fifty-five (55) E-160 EP5 turbines with 114 m hub height for three projects at Jenner, Alberta over the course of two years. These will be the first wind projects in North America to feature such a turbine model.

The Jenner projects are located just north of the hamlet of Jenner, Alberta and east of the city of Brooks. Jenner 1 and Jenner 2 have been selected for power purchase agreements under the Renewable Electricity Procurement Round 3 by the Alberta Electric System Operator in 2018 and are expected to begin commercial operations in 2022 and 2023 respectively. The Jenner 3 project is planned to enter into a bilateral power purchase agreement and will begin commercial operations in 2022.
