TORONTO (March 14, 2022) – Potentia Renewables Inc. (Potentia) has announced that Jeff Jenner is transitioning from Chief Executive Officer to Executive Vice Chair of the Potentia Board of Directors, effective March 31, 2022.

Mr. Jenner joined Potentia as CEO 6 years ago, at a time when the company’s operational portfolio consisted in 70 MW of solar energy. He has led Potentia’s growth as an independent power producer with a contracted solar and wind energy portfolio reaching over 1,000 MW, all of which will be operational by 2023. Under Mr. Jenner’s direction, Potentia has solidified its position as the largest commercial and industrial solar owner and operator, while positioning itself as a leading wind energy developer in Canada over the past 5 years. Mr. Jenner’s leadership has also ushered in a corporate culture shift in the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, with a 50% gender parity on the senior management team, an achievement that he is extremely proud of.

“My initial role as CEO was to be a 3-year term, which got extended, and then further pushed out, as the pandemic put everything on hold. I feel that now is the best time to step aside and allow the excellent and talented team members at Potentia continue to build, operate, and manage Potentia’s current projects, as well as lead the charge for the next 1,000 MW of growth.” said Mr. Jenner. “I am very pleased with what we have accomplished together and look forward to watching Potentia grow even faster in the coming years.”

As the new Executive Vice Chair on the Board of Directors, Mr. Jenner will continue to support Potentia’s growth as its built assets come to represent more than 5% of Canada’s renewable energy installed base. With Mr. Jenner stepping down from the CEO role, his executive functions will be divided among Mr. Jeremy Jagt, President, Mr. Ben Greenhouse, Senior Vice President, Business Development and Mr. Andrew Hope, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
